DCS

The Department of Child Safety, or DCS, is responsible for ensuring the welfare of children in the state of Indiana. Although this government organization exists to protect children, it can still be scary when DCS becomes involved in your life. In fact, because DCS has the power to take your children away permanently, it is only natural to be frightened.

Saunders Law has substantial experience with DCS cases. If DCS is investigating your family, we can help.

About DCS Cases

DCS cases typically begin after a report of abuse or negligence. After DCS receives this report, they will open an investigation. This may involve a home visit, interviews with your family, interviews with other people who know your family, and more. If DCS determines that your children are in danger, they may be removed from the home. If you are unable to meet DCS requirements to reunite with your children, you may eventually lose your parental rights.
